The following instructions are for assembling the Crown Plastics Dark Sky Reflector Assembly - Bottom Mount, either medium or mogul base.

New Fixture
1) With the enclosure removed, place the bottom mount assembly over the socket on the fitter. The assembly should rest on top of the socket edge.
2) Tighten the screws of the assembly onto the socket. Do not over tighten the screws, but make sure they are snug enough to hold the assembly in place.
3) Insert the lamp (maximum 175W Metal Halide) into the socket between the assembly posts. Make sure the lamp is inserted into the socket properly.
4) Position the enclosure upside down on a surface that allows you to have open access to the opening of the enclosure.
5) Pick up the Dark Sky Reflector. While holding like an upside down bowl, squeeze and overlap the front two petals furthest from you together.
6) Tilt toward you into the opening and feed the reamining petals into the opening 2 at a time while pivoting into the enclosure. You may either hold the Dark Sky Reflector so it does not fall into the enclosure, or allow it to fall - either way is OK.
7) Reach into the enclosure and turn the Dark Sky Reflector so the bottom (widest part) is down toward the opening of the enclosure.
8) Place the enclosure over the top of the assembly approximately centered to allow the Dark Sky Reflector to fall over the assembly. The Dark Sky Reflector will self-mount.*
9) Tighten the enclosure onto the fitter.
